About Tarun Reddy
30+ years building, scaling, and leading technology organizations.
I've been leading technology teams since the mid-1990s—across engineering, operations, security, IT, and support—with transparency and honesty that engenders trust and real collaboration. My strong technical background allows me to guide leaders toward the process and architectural improvements that deliver higher quality products, faster, and tightly aligned with customer needs.
Three companies I helped build reached major milestones: SynXis was acquired, Rally Software went IPO and was then acquired by CA Technologies, and Carbon Black went IPO and was then acquired by VMware. In each case, I was instrumental in getting the company there—whether through product delivery, reducing cost of goods sold, or dramatically improving uptime and quality.
Today, I coach CTOs and VPs of Engineering who are missing a co-pilot for what is often a stressful and isolated role. Too frequently, heads of engineering are managed by leaders who can't fully relate to the depth and breadth of their responsibilities—and they have no one to talk to. I help them grow to delegate tactical work effectively, set appropriate guardrails, and step into strategic collaboration with their fellow executives.
My framework is simple: People, Process, and then Technology—because the most difficult problems an engineering executive faces are almost always in the People and Process realms.
